NATURE BEAUTY {Stick It Down DT}

Hello

It is time for DOUBLE PAGE REVEAL over at the Stick It Down!  YAH YAH!   Oh Yes I am excited!  I just love doubles!  When I saw this sketch of Shelby, I became delightful!  It is just a beauty!  I even got more excited when I saw the banners at the bottom!  I just love banners!  This sketch is really awesome and so easy to follow.  I am sure that you will enjoy it as much as I did!

I am doing some cottage photos and I know it is December right now.  I really want to do festive layout for December which would be more appropriate but I do not have the Christmas pictures as my other computer is sick and I do not have access to my last year Christmas pictures so I just went ahead and continued working on my summer pictures.  It is not normal for me to take pictures of nature such as landscapes, flowers, or animals.  But on that day I was feeling low and rather bored and I decided to do something different other than taking thousands pictures of my family.  I challenged myself to take pictures of OTHER things around the cottage.  I have to admit that it was fun and somewhat challenge.  Now with this layout I sure am glad that I did this nature photo taking challenge as now I have memories of surrounding of the cottage environment.

 I hope you will play with this wonderful sketch of Shelby!  I can guarantee you that it is very nice sketch to do!

Merry Christmas!

OUR STOCKINGS {ScrapMuch?}

Hello!

Here I am with another layout for ScrapMuch?.  My layout is for my December Daily.  When I saw Laura Whitaker's single layout sketch, I decided to do the page for the December Daily album that I am hoping to finish this year.   It is a 6 x 6 album. As for the sketch, I have rotated it and the sketch has 3 photos recommended, but I have used two photos as I wanted to use the two girls on this page.  I have also created coordinating page for the two boys on the next page to go with this page using a different sketch..

The link to ScrapMuch? is ScrapMuch?  I hope you play one of the sketches for December and there is random draw for participating.  You may WIN a prize!  Scrapping is FUN as you know!  Let's participate!

Happy Holidays!

THE DEER CAME EVERYDAY

Hello!

Here I am with a single layout playing with Two Scrapbook Friends' sketch and crafty challenge.  Jayne challenged us with her awesome sketch and her crafty challenge was to use a quote.

Here is my layout,  her sketch is really fun to play with.  I enjoy adjusting the polaroid size to meet my two photo size needs.  My page is for December Daily.  It is 6 x 6.     My title, "The deer came everyday" was a quote from Trip Advisor on the internet. There also was a quote that the deer came everyday to feed".  The deer come everyday at same specific time everyday at our in law house everyday to be fed.  So I found this quote fitting for the two pictures.

Thank you Jayne for this fun challenge!  I enjoyed playing!

Keep Scrapping!

AT THE LITTLE BARN {Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop}

Welcome to the Scrapbook Generation Blog Hop for December. If this is your first stop, you might like to start at the Scrapbook Generation blog and then hop through each link.

Here is my double page layout.  I used the sketch from Scrapbook Generations Sketch Fusion with Simple Stories page 34 but with understanding I mainly used the right side page for both pages.  I moved the title to the top for the left page as I had larger pictures and I did not want to crop them off.  So I used the right page sketch for both pages.  I changed around with the embellishments as the page's needs.

You can find the SG sketches in their books and as downloads in the SG store, and there is a free one every month in case you wanted to try it out.

Next on the hop is (Casandra - http://casandra-scrappinbliss.blogspot.com/), leave a comment on each blog and one lucky commenter  receive a free sketch bundle of their choice from the store.

The winner will be drawn on Monday, December 8th which leaves you one week to leave a comment.

THE RACE {Sketch-y Friday}

Hello!

Yay!  It is REVEAL time for TEAM A over at the ScrapMuch? today!  Double page layout!! Handswaving!!!!!  I am all excited!  I just HEART double page layout sketches!

When I saw this sketch I was all excited as I "visioned" MANY pictures!  I know that you can use patterned papers for the squares!!!!  I could not because I had 23 pictures and I was able to downsize to 16 pictures.  So that was hard enough LOL!  I used 2x3 wallet size pictures and cropped some at the end off.

Laura Whitaker created this wonderful sketch.  I can see myself using it again and again in the future.  I would like to try it again but using the patterned papers and pictures as a mixture on the second page.  Thank you Laura for this awesome DOUBLE PAGE SKETCH!

Let's try this sketch out and participate over at the ScrapMuch?!  You may win a prize from a random draw for just by participating!  The deadline is November 29, 2014 at midnight.

Cheers and be sure to find time to scrap!

AT THE BEACH {Stick it Down}

Hello!!!!

Yea! It is revealing time for double page layout for Stick It Down double page team!  I have decided to do some pictures from cottage last August.  Sigh... the warm weather, for sure, have left us in Southern Ontario.  It even have started snowing.

When I saw Shelby's sketch, I could not wait to play with it.  Seeing that there are five photos on the sketch,  I looked through my readily organized cottage pictures.  I was able to find this set of 5 pictures.  The only problem was that they are all horizontal.  They all are wallet sized 2x3.  So that is why my layout look a bit different from the sketch even though the number of the pictures are the same.

I was thrilled to be able to use the bling word BEACH as title as I have had it in my stash forever.  Finally the blue shade worked well on the layout!

Lets' have fun by playing with this awesome sketch by Shelby!  Double page layouts are FAB!!!!

14 TH

Hello

This past weekend I had a scrapping getaway weekend.  Wonderful weekend!  I got to scrap several layouts and it SURE felt GREAT!  It was fun to spend time with two wonderful girlfriends Sharlene and Kathie.

I got to do a sketch and crafty challenge for Two Scrapbook Friends.  You can see the sketch below.   The crafty challenge was to have something old, new, borrowed and blue.

For mine, I did:

old: paper (the background)
new: MFT stencil
borrowed: I borrowed Sharlene's two punches to create the title
blue: patterned paper are BLUE!  So are the letterings on the cake! (wink!)

A FUZZY FRIEND {Sketch-y Friday}

Hello Everyone!

Cannot believe it is actually November!  It is ScrapMuch? Design Team A's turn to reveal their work as it is Sketch-y Friday today!  Laura Whitaker once again had provided a wonderful and fun sketch!  I was delight to play with her sketch!

I looked through some of my pictures and found some perfect pictures for this sketch but there were problems... I had more pictures that I wanted to use... so a double page layout came into my picture.  Of course I continued to used the same sketch on the other page only that I flipped it over to the side.  BINGO I was able to solve the problem.    I had two more pictures.  They were close ups that TELL you the story of what the pages were all about!  The FUZZY CATERPILLAR!  I used the pictures instead of writing so.... in total, my layout I have 8 pictures!

Ok lets share my picture of the layouts!

Here is a run down of our Sketch-y Friday rules.  You have until November 29th, at midnight to participate in any of November's sketch challenges, each linkup tool will remain open until that date!

If you are playing along with more than one challenge you will need to link each of them up via a separate blog post for the link up tool to work. (International participants may be required to pay some shipping fees.)  Good luck, we cannot wait to see what you create!

 *note - If you are playing along using Flickr the team will no longer be leaving comments, due to changes in Flickr policies and passwords.  However, we will be checking out your entries for sure and you are definitely eligible for the prize draw. HARRY POTTER on OCT 31

Hello!

Have you seen Harry Potter on October 31 before?  No?  Oh here is the right place to see him!  Harry even carved his own facial image on a pumpkin!

I had fun creating this double page layout!  I wanted it to be Harry Potter themed but also to show it as a Halloween themed as well.  So I used the Harry Potter patterned paper and added some Halloween embellishments.

CARVE

Hello!

It is October and I just love doing Halloween layouts.  I feel good as I catch up the past years' Halloween!

For the papers, I have used Teresa Collins' line called Haunted Hallows.  The colours are mostly soft but their images are spooky!  I have used the sketch from the Scrapbook Generations.  I have used the bingo cards from my Halloween stash.  I have added some shiny orange sequins to the white dots for fun.

Off to do some more Halloween layout while it is still October!

Keep Scrapping!

COLOUR ME RAD {Stick It Down DT}

Hello!

It is Tuesday Sketch Challenge over at the STICK IT DOWN!  The sketch by Shelby was fun!  When I saw the sketch, I immediately thought of my wonderful pictures from the event Colour ME Rad.  I had collected beautiful patterned papers but when I sat down and remembered that I had several tie and dye papers somewhere.   They were papers that I wanted to get rid of.  I thought since the pictures were colourful and sort of related.  Not tied and dyed but POWERED.....  I found the tie and dye papers.  I see that they were glittered.  Which  was why the pictures of the whole layout did not really come up good.  There were so much glitter on them.  Part of me wished that I stayed with the first choices of papers that I chose.  Oh well...  the event was so much FUN and let the layout be WILD and FUN!

I would like to try this sketch again for a serious event again and see to compare.  The biggest challenge is to what to substitute the tree and the bird.  I have some ideas coming up already...

Lets play this sketch for STICK IT DOWN's Tuesday Sketch Challenge!

CHRISTMAS MORNING {ScrapMuch? DT}

Hello!

Yeah  I know... It is not Christmas..... I know it is not Christmas in July....  I just decided to go for Christmas in September!

When I saw three photos on the sketch, I thought, it was going to be hard as you see I have 4 children... but luckily I found a picture of the boys together.  PERFECT  This worked perfectly for this sketch!

Triangles are new for me to work with me.  I do not recall working with any of them on my previous layouts...  Of course triangles are easy, it is just that I always think that they are awkward shapes but after doing this layout. I do admit it is not that bad.  It is fun creating triangles.  For my photos, I sized them to 2x3 and they worked well for this sketch.

It is SKETCHY- FRIDAY at the ScrapMuch?http://shopscrapmuch.blogspot.ca/  I hope you will play as the sketch by Laura Whitaker is awesome.  I can say that this sketch is a quick one!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL {ScrapMuch? DT}

Hello

It is Sketchy- Friday at ScrapMuch?  It is exciting because it is double page!  Scroll down and you will see another awesome double page layout sketch by Laura Whitaker.

When I saw the sketch, I knew immediately that the Back to School pictures would be PERFECT as there are 4 sections of pictures.  I can do two of each of my children, you see that I have 4 children so it worked WELL!  The pictures were from last year.  The top section is just a natural standing with smile.  The bottom section is each of them signing out the grade they are entering.  For 2013- 2014 Charada enters Grade 11, Janna enters Grade 8, Braden enters Grade 5 and Dalton enters Grade 3.

I had the Back to School stickers from Karen Foster. I have had them in my "School" theme box for a long time.  I am very glad to be able to use them this time finally.  I am really am happy to see BLUE layout as I always think blue is a rare colour in scrapbooking world.....  don't you think so???  I love BLUE.  I always love to do blue pages.

So lets' play with this awesome sketch over at the ScrapMuch?

Scrapping is FUN!!!!!

Shelby's sketch is really fun to play with.  I know you won't regret!  9 photos!!!!!  Come on and play over at Stick it Down for their Tuesday Sketch Challenge!

GARDEN {Stick it Down DT}

Hello!

Yay!  Here is my first DT revealing work for Stick It Down!  It is Double Page Sketch week at Stick It Down.  Here is my layout.

Shelby at the Stick It Down designed this sketch layout.  I pretty much followed the left page.  The right page I had many pictures but I had to use the 4x4 picture sizes so I decided to place the pictures the way you see on my layout not scattered way the sketch showed...  The pictures were taken at different times when the vegetables were ready as you can notice as Braden wore different clothes except for the bottom three pictures on the right page.  I decided to stick with Shelby's cloud and added the sun.  Since my layout was all about Braden's vegetable garden, the sun and clouds were FITTING!

Here is the sketch.

The double page sketch is FUN to play with!  Hope you will have the chance to PLAY and SCRAP!
