365 Cards #331 Nautical

365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Every Day  365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Every Day The challenge was Hmmmm - can it really be that simple? Why, yes it is. Today's challenge has a theme, and that theme is anything "Nautical".

My first reaction to the word, NAUTICAL was that what is it??? This was a new word for me to learn. I find it alittle hard to create something NAUTICAL. I have decided to go into my "BOY" organization stash and was able to find this sticker from a pirate collection for this challenge.

I am pleased with how it turned up. So here is my NAUTICAL card.

365 Cards #333 - At This Moment

365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Every Day  wanted me to think about where am I at this very moment, whether it's the exact place or an activity I did today, that should be the thing that inspires my card.

Of course I was scrapping tonight.  I just knew what stamp to use.  I got this cute stamp of a scrapper from ScrapFest.  I decided to do this since I was scrapping, yet I was thinking of someone.  This card is specially made for Sharlene, my good friend, who recently made into the Design Team for Two Scrapbook Friends.  CONGRATULATIONS, SHARLENE!

I chose the chevon patterned paper because it seems to be HOT for this year, 2012 if you were looking through the CHA, many manufacturers have included chevrons this year.  So Sharlene, I believe you will keep this card and the chevrons will remind you of the HOT CHEVRON during the year of 2012!

I have decided to use the copic markers.  I still am learning how to use them....  The colours I have used on this cards are YR04, YR07, E00, E35, E33, YG03, R24, RV34, B00, E31, E11, E15, R81, RV 02 and 0.  I enjoyed myself colouring the cute scrapper!

The ScrapFest theme colour is PINK!  I decided to do their SCRAPFEST bag coloured PINK!

Again, CONGRATULATIONS to you Sharlene, here is your "online" card.  You will get this real card when I see you in person!

365 Cards #330 I've Got It Covered

365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Every Day's challenge was to use two different patterned paper to cover the whole card without overlapping.

I used two different patterned paper.  I had this stamped heart from previous project.  Also the Happy Valentine's Day was an extra in my stash.  I like to use up what I have in the stash so here I came up with a Valentine Day card!

A Better Picture of What the COLOURS Are!

Since I wanted to do more cards this yea, a couple of days ago I decided to do this "Organization project",  I have been using my stamps and ink pad more because of cardmaking which is good.  It would be a waste to leave them inside the drawer.  I have the stamping ink pad holder holding the ink pads and it is now on the scrapping table.  While I worked on a card again, and again, I had to search for which shade of specific colour would be PERFECT for the specific card.  So I decided to clear up my table and started cutting up the index cards into halves.  Then the fun started.... I stamped a flower using EACH of the colours that I have!!! I also labelled them following their colour names which were identified by the Stampin' Up. I punched holes and installed a ring.  There is my new COLOUR RECORD BOOK!

The outcome of this orgranization effort, I see that it became easier and speedier I do the card!  Just PERFECT!  This will promote me keeping doing the cardmaking!

2SF - Tuesday Scrappy Challenges

For Two Scrapbook Friends, there were two challenges that I did for this double page layout.

The left side was to use the sketch from PageMap that Sharon (DT) challenged us to do.  I enjoyed doing this sketch.

The second challenge was to use the banners.  I have done this challenge before but I decided to submit it to 2SF's Tuesday Scrappy Challenge....  For this right page of a double page layout, I used a sketch from SCRAP MUCH?  They had a Sketchy- Friday.  I started following this sketch but at the end, most have been changed following my needs and to coordinate with the left page of a double page layout.

Together the double page layout here!

I REALLY love the orangutans!!!

the Friday MASH UP #43 - a card sketch and something new!

Or Make a project using "Something NEW in your stash". (Stamps, ribbon, pretty paper...anything!)
Or "Mash it Up" and create a project "using the Sketch & something NEW in your stash".

I still have several MONKEYS left!  A good way to reuse them if your children do not play with them anymore!

I used the new tag punch from Fisksar.

2SF Challenges 1) Going My Way? Chevrons and 2) The Purpose is to Repurpose

Two Scrapbook Friends had challenges.  I was looking through their list of what I have not done.  I found two more challenges!  One was "Going My Way? using CHEVRONS and the other one was "The Purpose is to repurpose.

I did a double page layout.

For the purpose is to repurpose, I used REAL playing cards with ZEBRA print on them.  I have cut them up and used them for the chevrons.  I also used the cards for the embellishments.  The 4 hearts represents # of my children in the "Safari" jeep.  I also used the Spade "A" to show that our trip to the zoo was A+.

I also used the cards for my chevrons, banner, and embellishments!

365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Everyday - #325 - "INSIDE OUT"

Here is my "INSIDE OUT" card for the 365 Cards.

It's called Inside Out and here's how it works.  Put your sentiment on the front of the card, and the decorations on the inside. Keep any decorations on the outside down to little or none.  You should check out Hannah's Inside Out card at the 365 Cards blog.

It was a new experience for me to make something pop out inside the card.  I enjoyed this challenge.

It was really hard to leave the blank space on the front of the card!  You can see that I scored a line around the card.  I used the RUBON for the sentiment HUGS and KISSES.  And I just HAD to add the button!

I am thinking of stamping HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY sentiment inside the card tomorrow.

365 Cards - A New Card Challenge Every Day-#323

For the challenge #365 Cards, they are asking for WORLD COLLIDE - Vintage Style.  Obviously, vintage is not my area, but I decided to look through my stash and I thought of my ATC cards that I have been hoarding.  I happened to found this ATC which has the VINTAGE look.  I got it from the Scrapfest.  It was given to me for free for purchasing something from that specific store (booth).  It was a "do it yourself kit"

So here is the ATC I am talking about.

Here is the card I made tonight.

A good use of that VINTAGE ATC card!

365 Cards - Day #322 - A New Card Challenge Every Day-Feeling Scrappy

Day #322 - Feeling Scrappy - Monday January 16, 2012

The challenge for 365 Cards A New Card Challenge Every Day #322 was, "Dig through those scraps and find 3 patterned papers and 2 pieces of cardstock to use on your card. Aside from the cardstock base, the paper you use should be from scraps of paper"

I found all 3 patterned papers and 2 pieces of cardstocks from my scrap paper drawers.  I used the stamps from Stampin' Up.  Good to see that I was able to use them again as they have been neglected for a long time.  I came up with this masculine Happy Birthday card.

Clean & Simple Stamping #FTL 173

When I saw this card sketch challenge from Clean & Simple Stamping #FTL 173, I thought it might be a difficult challenge as this got me thinking that I had to stamp something directly on the CARD without messing it up.... it was quite challenge but once I did the first one, I just wanted to do more!!!  A really cool card sketch! VERY EASY and QUICK!

Here are my cards that I made last night.

This card will be for my brother in law.  His birthday is coming up in few days!

Here are two more cards.  The first one I used the Cool Carribean stamping ink colour.  I was not satisified with the outcome. So I decided to try again with the black stamping ink colour.  There it is!!! Much better

Here is one more card.

On the back of the cards, I was delighted to stamp with this new stamp which was a surprise gift from Sharlene. Thank you, Sharlene for the beautiful stamp!
