CHILDREN ARE A BLESSING

Hello!!

Fun Progressive Blog Hop Challenge over at the Two Scrapbook Friends, Joanne (co-owner) created this fun sketch.  She started her team at the 2SF with this sketch.  They also had a blog hop which was a progressive one.  Each design team member had to throw in a challenge and add to the sketch.  At the beginning the sketch layout sure look "bare"  and then at the end  of  the blog hop with the given challenges, their layouts became beautiful filled!  Then it was open to us, the public to play.  Of course I had to jump to try!  It was fun and fun!!!

Just a bare layout from the sketch without the "challenges" from the design team!

THE MINNIE MOUSE (Joanne's 'PIN-spiration' Challenge) at the Two Scrapbook Friends

To Joanne, Pinterest provides visual inspiration.  She can see a photo for something and be totally inspired to use something from that photo in one way or another. So that is what she have done for her challenge!  She have taken a photo from Pinterest, showing a gorgeous colour combination, and she would like me to use it as inspiration for a layout, card or project!

ZOO: AFRICA

Hello!!!

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, there was "Lets Get Connected Online Crop" in February.  So much fun! Great challenges based on social media types like: Facebook. Blogging, Twitter, iTunes, and Pinterest.

I am going to post about two different challenges for this Let's Get Connected online crop on this post.
*******************************************
Christa's Bloggerita Scraplift Challenge was to scraplift one of the Two Scrapbook Friends team. The biggest way to be inspired by BLOGS is to used the idea of a "SCRAPLIFT".   I decided to scraplift Carolyn's double page layout that she posted in her blog dated December 14, 2011.  She used the sketch from Sketch Support (now known as Scrapbook Generation)

Here is my "scrap lifted" layout...

Here is a close up of the left page.

*******************************************
Carolyn was assigned Instagram for her challenge! Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them (enhance your photo), and share them on a variety of social networking sites, the most popular ones being Facebook or Twitter. A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images. So Carolyn's challenge was to use polaroid frame.

TODAY YOU ARE YOU, THAT IS TRUER THAN TRUE.....

"TODAY YOU ARE YOU, THAT IS TRUER THAN TRUE. THERE IS NO
ONE ALIVE WHO IS YOUER THAN YOU"
Dr. Seuss

At the Two Scrapbook Friends forum, Christa provided a crafty challenge:  "YOUER THAN YOU"  She was interested in inspiring in others....  I was inspired to do the pictures of Dalton using the same quote that Christa used on her layout for Dalton.  There is no one like Dalton.  The pictures of Dalton DESCRIBED who Dalton is all about!  Dalton sure is my unique little boy with his own cute "boyish" personality!  When he saw me with the camera, he immediately grabbed the blue pail and tried to hide.  And of course he had to peek to see if I was still there with the camera!  GOTCHA!  Yes I was still THERE!!!!

I used this beautiful and wonderful sketch by Joanne Burton at this i.love.sketches  blog.  I changed the title placement due to the pictures.  I will want to use this sketch again and again!

Supplies Used

PATTERNED PAPERS: Stampin' Up (2007), 3 Bugs in a Rug "Outdoor Retreat"
CARDSTOCKS:  AC Cardstock
WASHI TAPES:   MME "Indie Chie", Recollection, Queen & Co

CRAZY

Hello!

Don't you love it when you look in your computer and you find some pictures that your children take pictures of themselves!  When I saw some pictures of Charada which she took pictures of herself, I was a HAPPY mommy!  I sneakily printed them off!  I guess that taking a picture of her ripped knee area jean was important to her!

I did not have any "r" so I cut a part of "m" off to make a "r".  I love the idea to use the few remaining letter stash!

I needed a "y" but I did not have one!  So I cut a part of "k" off and came up with a 'y"!  I was a happy gal!
