Friends Forever (Crafty Challenge)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Sharlene, a DT member, threw in a crafty challenge for us to use at least two border punches and to think out of box!

I wanted to try something different so I searched through the internet and found this cool technique.

Here is my layout.  On this layout I used four different border punches.  I love the outcome!  I used Shelby's sketch on this page too with some light changes...

Sharlene, thank  you for this awesome crafty challenge and I love it!

Thanks for peeking!

ME! Gallery Pick of the Week!

Two Scrapbook Friends have their weekly "Gallery Pick of the Week" on Tuesdays.  It was DT, Christa's turn to pick someone.

Christa picked this layout.  She stated

"With this past Sunday being Earth Day, this gorgeous tree on Laureen's layout and the colour scheme really made me think about our beautiful planet. Can you see the cut out in the tree's trunk? Wow! It also has great vertical lines, that super nice pennant piece and the button work too. Congratulations on such a great design Laureen!"

I was surprised and thrilled that I got picked again!  Thank you, Christa!

Friends are Flowers that Never Fade! (Shelby's Sketch Challenge and Online Challenge)

Last night I had an online crop with Denise, Sharlene and another friend.

Denise threw in challenges and told us that we need to have "music" , 10 or more brads, 3 or more handmade flowers and a bit of vintage!

Music me??? NEVER!!! lol! Good thing that I had a MME book package of 12x12 and on one of the pages there were some prints of the music symbols... I used it... Really cannot see it from the LO! Vintage is  out of my comfort zone and I think I did pretty well! The flowers, I punched the papers from the scalloped circle punch. Distressed and then crunched them up... Put in a brad in the middle (inside) There are my HANDMADE flowers! Adding 10 brads was easy

Thank you Denise for this fun challenge!

For this layout I decided to use Shelby's #3 sketch challenge. It was for Two Scrapbook Friends.  It came up very well with the two pictures! The title space between the two pictures was challenge but I MADE IT! I just love the title.

Here it is! (my daughter is in the middle)

Explore your World (Crafty and Sketch Challenge)

Hello!

Last night I was thrilled to be able to hit my scrapping table and sat down after no scrapping for approximately two weeks!

Shelby, DT, from the Two Scrapbook Friends threw in a challenge for us to include a tree on our layout!  I searched through some pictures and BINGO I found perfect pictures for this layout!  So I went off scrapping and scrapping!!!!

Here it is!  I truly love how I did my tree!  I used the "Wall Decor" of the Cricut cartridge.  Can you spot a flowery leaf?  Can you spot an owl?   Thank you Shelby!

This challenge led me to another page to go with the above page... I decided to continue working even though it was getting late.  I decided to do Christa's sketch challenge for my second page.  Again I love it... and was glad to be able to finish it today this afternoon as I had to stop to go to bed as it was 2 in the morning.

Here is my page for Christa's sketch challenge also for the Two Scrapbook Friends.  Thank you, Christa!  I followed everything on her sketch except for the four medium squares of paper.  I used one large brown cardstock instead.

Together my two pages look like this.....

I am pleased with what I have done...  Looking forward to scrap some more tonight!

Thanks for looking!

My Make n' Takes from Scrapfest 2012

Last weekend I went to Scrapfest and it was just like a candy store!  Of course all of the scrapbooking goodies were there!

Look at what I made and brought home....

I still need to glue the file card onto the wooden post.
I also need to add a photo.

a bird

bookmarks

one of my favorite, SUPER CUTE OWL

also my favorite just because it is UNIQUE and interesting... it was fun making this dragonfly using the zippers!

This ONE 12x12 paper turned into a mini album!  I found this very intersesting.
It is not completed but I have the stuff in the kit to complete.  I look forward to see
the outcome of this simple one 12x12 paper!

I always find Make n' Take a fun and an opportunity to learn something specific!  I did not do every Make n' Take there just because I wanted to shop too!  *smirking*

Sharlene and I have been going to Scrapfest the last several years.  It was cool that the group GREW this year!  There were 4 Deaf scrappers with us!  It was fun!

At Two Scrapbook Friends forum, Sharlene, DT, threw in another crafty challenge.  It is to use a bingo card.  I  was thrilled when I saw this challenge as I knew I was hoarding several BINGO CARDS!!!  It was time to use one this time!

Blooming Beauty (Shape Up Challenge)

At Two Scrapbook Friends, Christa (DT) threw in a crafty challenge.  She wanted us to think outside of the box.

Here is my layout for this SHAPE UP! challenge. It was interesting experience doing this challenge. At the end, I am pleased with it! I used the cricut George and Basic Shape cartridge. The machine cut out many hexagons and the shadows for every hexagon. Distressing each hexagon and the shadow background. It took me a quite of long time to complete but here it is! This layout is about my second daughter, Janna.

5 for 5 Challenge by Jayne

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, DT, Jayne offered us to play 5 for 5.  Five scrappers signed up for this 5 item challenge.  Of course I SIGNED up, not knowing what she was going to give us.

Here is the picture of the 5 items that Jayne mailed to us who signed up.  The 5 items are similar to all 5 scrappers.  We were TO USE all of the items that she provided.  We also were allowed to add something else.

I was excited when I got an envelope from her in the mail!  With the lovely 5 items, I created a card.
Here is the picture of my card.  You can see that I added the white clouds, green leaves, bow twine to the pretty pin and the embossed nest.  I also used white cardstock and some pop up dots.

It is always interesting and fun to see all of the 5 scrappers's creations with using the 5 same items.  You might like to check the other's creations in the forum of  Two Scrapbook Friends.  Thank you, Jayne for letting me play!

Thanks for checking!
