Hello!

Happy Christmas Eve!  Here is non traditional Christmas colours for Little Red Wagon Challenge #216.

I had fun creating this card.  This card will go to somebody in the family tomorrow when we the whole family get together.  That is mom, 3 sisters, 3 brother in laws, niece in law, 2 nieces, 3 nephews, and 3 great nieces/nephews plus my family.  Looking forward to celebrate Christmas with my whole family!

Our Jolly Janna

Hello!!!  Yay!  Another page for my December Daily 2011 album!  When I looked through my file on the computer for the pictures, I found this good picture of Janna.  It is not very often that she is willing to pose for the camera!  And on this day, she was willing to do that!  A bonus to add it to my album!  I am very happy about that!  So here is the page for her!  My Jolly Janna!

A really simple and easy design to the layout.  I did not use any sketch or did any challenges because I went all based on the premade background pp.  I wanted it to be very simple so that we can focus on Janna's beautiful smile!

Challenges I played:
none

Supplies I used:
unknown background pp
AC cardstock
MME Be Merry pp

SANTA

Hello!

SANTA SANTA SANTA!  What is Christmas without Santa Claus?  A true magical person for Christmas in children's eyes!  Yes we remember the every reason behind Christmas.  It is Jesus....  Every year I must have a picture of the children with Santa Claus.  I do see this coming up more of a challenge every year as the children get older.  The girls are not too keen about this.  The boys are still willing to post for picture with the Santa Claus.

For this layout, it is an addition to my December Daily album.  No sketch for this one.

I fussy cut the Santa from the MME Holly Jolly.  I used the banner to anchor the picture of the children with the Santa Claus!

THE CHRISTMAS PLAY and A HOLIDAY MAGIC

Hello!

Every year there is a Christmas play at Braden's school.  Really, they call it "Holiday" play now, as the government school is not allowed to use the word Christmas.  At his school, many Deaf students come from different country cultures and religion.  To my eyes, it is still a Christmas play.  Braden and his class did a play focusing on Pioneer theme.  It was very good and cute!  Of course I had to scrap about this event.  We had Christmas Holiday dinner at the school cafeteria, before the play.  It was good to see his friends' parents and some of the staff there.  I love to go this traditional event every year!

Love this page with the pictures of ourselves, myself and Chris...  Yes it is a magic that helps us go through every Christmas! LOL!  Chaos of shopping, baking, wrapping, decorating, cleaning up, cooking dinner and so on!!!!  I must take a picture of the children AND ALSO ourselves too!!!!  It is fun to look at the pictures from the year before!

GIFT CARD and DINNER..

Hello!

More pages to share from my December Daily 2011 album.  Double page layout....   Online crop with 2 girlfriends!  Dd, SBE and I had an online crop last Sunday.  Dd threw in a challenge for us to use STRIPES over at the An Inky Situation.  I looked through my December Daily album to see if I have any stripes.  BINGO!  I was lucky to find this WONKY stripes... (I know the pp is ugly... I wanted to get rid of them and to use them.  I knew that I had the challenge to make my pages PRETTY!!!! wink!)  Another challenge was to "kill" the purple colour on the pp!  LOL  I think I did well to make the pages pretty!?!

my UGLY WONKY stripes!

a picture of my stuff that I planned to use for the online crop

I just love Braden's face on this picture when he got a gift card for ToyRus!  I just love his face!!!!  It says it all!
Traditionally, we  all open our gifts at home and when we go out for the Christmas dinner with the WHOLE family, the nieces and nephews get to open more presents at the host house from "aunts and uncles".  So the gift card that Braden got was from an aunt, (my sister).

Traditionally, we have the Christmas Dinner with the WHOLE FAMILY. (Mom and sisters/their families)  The second page is a picture of some family members at the table.  With our family, two or three tables are often needed and we eat all over the house! LOL  For this page, when I saw the picture, I just knew I MUST scrap about it since Brent my nephew is in it. (he is the one with the black top in the picture) I sure do miss him.  He passed away in February this year.  Any picture I have of him are PRECIOUS!  It will be our first Christmas without him this year!  May we all be given the strength for this upcoming Christmas!   We miss and love you, BRENT!

OUR BABY ORNAMENTS and OUR CHILDREN

Hello

Another double page layout that I completed on Saturday!  They are for my December Daily 2011 album.  It is 8x8.

Every year we hang up children's baby ornaments on the Christmas tree!  This is a family tradition.  We also take an individual picture of each child every year to show their growth over the year!  So many Christmas traditions in our house!

I did not use any sketches for this double pages.  I knew I had four pictures for each page and that they would take over almost the whole page.  I touched them up with very small embellies and a title for each page.

ADVENT

Hello!

Last night I stayed up really late... why?  I could not stop scrapping!  That was good! (wink!)  I managed to complete a double page layout this time!  You know that I have been working on my December Daily 2011 album.  Most of the pages are "single" page layout but the colours do coordinate on both pages.  Often each page scraps about a different event.

I used a single page layout sketch from My Scraps and More Sketch. I used the sketch for my left page and I just did my design for my right page stealing some ideas from the left page sketch so that they all coordinates. (The sketch shows two pictures.  I only used one picture because the page is 8x8.  It is really small page so the size of my picture was big enough for this page.)

This double page layout is about Dalton's school activity at his school.  We just love when we get to be invited to ANY event at the school because our presences make our child SMILE! (Dalton is still young so  he loves to have us over!)  I know that that will end soon!  I have noticed that with the girls.  Older children do not want parents to show up at the school!  It is holiday tradition at the school to have a ADVENT activity.  So my double page layout is ALL ABOUT ADVENT.  We celebrate ADVENT every year.  So this works out good for the December crafty challenge over at Two Scrapbook Friends!

UNDER THE TREE

Hello!

Yay, another page done for my December Daily 2011 album tonight.  It is 8x8.  For this page, I scrapped about the children going under the tree..  Every year they get thrilled to do this!!!  It was to help me putting on the tree skirt under the tree!  This year Janna and Braden volunteered to do it.  Of course I could not pick one, so why not let them go under together!

I love to take picture of them under the tree.  You can see Janna looking through the branches... and Braden really lowered his head to show his face!

Fun activity every year when we finish decorating the tree!  It is to put the skirt under the tree!

MAKING COOKIES

Hello!

Here is my another page for my 2011 December Daily album (8x8) that I am trying to finish.  So glad to be able to complete one more page....  There are several pages still to do.  I found this simple sketch and thought it would work perfectly for my already set up background as the background is already "busy". So this simple and "quick" sketch did it!!!

I decided to do the strips on the sketch with some FUN washi tapes.  It does come handy when I have a collection of a variety of the tapes!  I based the colours from the background pp that I have put on the page.  Amazing that I was able to match the colours with what I have in my washi tape collection to the background pp!  To festive the page, I decided to go for the Christmas tree punch.  It was a 3 piece punch.

Challenge I Played:

OUR ANGELS

Hello!

HELLO!

From the most recent few posts, you know that I have been working on my December Daily 2011 album.  It is 8x8 album.  I have decided to put this cute picture of our girls, Charada and Janna, our angels.

I found this awesome sketch by Laura Whitaker.  Since I have already started some of the pages last year.  For this blank page, I decided to go for a singe page layout so I liked Laura's left page of the double page.  So for this challenge, I go only for the left page side of the sketch.  I hope to do the second page (right side) one day or even better to do the whole double page layout!

Spiritful!

Hello!

If you are here for the Scrapbook Generation Sketch Lovers Blog Hop, click here.

Ahhh, it is REALLY nice to be scrapping again!!!!!  I have decided to attack my Daily December 2011 mini album and it is my goal to finish this project before Christmas day!  I started this project last year.  I have arranged the pages in the album.  There are many pages that needed pictures.  On Friday night, I went through my photo file and chose the pictures to be printed.  Yesterday I had the pictures printed at the Walmart.  Last night I was thrilled to be able to start working on my album pages again!  I completed four pages!  YAY!!!!!

For this post, I will share one page.  I was looking for a sketch to play with.  I have decided to go for this card sketch....  The page is 6x6 so sometimes it is easy to use a card sketch.  My page is really simple.  As for the page, I already did the colour background patterned paper last year.  So I surfed through looking for matching colour challenge.  What a luck... I found this colour challenge and it worked perfectly with my already set up background page.  So I worked from there....

This was the day that we decorated the tree together as a family.  We always take pictures of before, during and after pictures of the tree.  The girls got all excited and they decided to pose for the camera like this!  Love their spirits!

I am liking this page very much but I do feel something is missing..... I will leave the page alone for a few days.... and see if I could come up with something else to add on so it will be fullfilling!~
