Happy - Snap Happy Old School Style (Crafty Challenge)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Jayne (DT) threw in a crafty challenge for us to use polraid style pictures on our layout.

It was fun and easy.  I put the pictures onto some white cardstock and matted around the picture and leaving a longer strip of the cardstock at the bottom.

While that we are still in this July month, I  have decided to hit all of the Canadian Day event pictures so I have been going through my pictures from the past years.

The challenges were as listed:

A Canadian Day layout
Colour Challenge based on this picture

Three choices of sketches (Amanda' Sketch 1, Ann's Sketch #1 and Christa's Sketch #5) (Two Scrapbook Friends)

Three of us chose Amanda's Sketch #1.

I also threw in a last minute one more challenge, I just loved Jayne (DT)'s Friendzy Friday heart accordion.  I told my girlfriends if they succeed making a heart accordion and put them onto their CANADIAN layout!  They will receive a DQ treat from me!

Touch and Feel Them

Another double page layout!  I have decided to scrap about an awesome experience that my children and I had at the Metro Toronto Zoo.  We had the opporuniyt to visit the stingrays, and hammerhead sharks.  WE EVEN got the opporunity to "PET" them!  It was AWESOME!

At Two Scrapbook Friends, I played Jayne's sketch #6 challenge. It was fun one!  I have decided to use her sketch for both pages as I felt the curved path just worked well for this topic especially that the creatures that we touched were in the water....

For the left page, I played Sharlene's crafty challenge - denim style.  I used Dalton's old pair of jeans.  I cut up and made banners out of jean fabric!  It was fun!

For this right page, I used it for Jayne's sketch #6 challenge.  I just love the button wave across both pages.

Thank you Jayne and Sharlene!  It was FUN doing this colourful layout achieving your challenges!

Best Team (Soccer)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Shelby (DT)challenged us this, crafty challenge, "SPORTY"  Of course I just had to do some more layout on SOCCER!!!  It was fun doing this.  I used the sketch (one page sketch #13 from Sketch Support.  I even tried machine sewing across the clouds with some red thread.  It was good but I know I need more practise using the sewing machine!

Thank you Shelby for this crafty challenge and thank you Sketch Support for the sketch!

HUNTING!

A double page layout on hunting... an activity that my hubby truly loves!  I rarely do layouts on hunting.  It was good that I have completed my pages on that topic.

For my left page, I used this sketch from Scrapbook Etc.  Sharlene challenged a friend and I to use this sketch.  I used this sketch for Shelby (DT) for the Crafty Challenge - Manmade...  I have decided to make my own button garland.  It was fun making a garland with buttons!

At Two Scrapbook Friends, Christa (DT) challenged us to do a name game for a crafty challenge. I used my R side page for this challenge. It was fun as I decided to do my FULL name, Laureen Charada Baskerville. For the name game challenge, I had to come up with items that I used on this layout following the first letter of my names.
