GIFT CARD and DINNER..

Hello!

More pages to share from my December Daily 2011 album.  Double page layout....   Online crop with 2 girlfriends!  Dd, SBE and I had an online crop last Sunday.  Dd threw in a challenge for us to use STRIPES over at the An Inky Situation.  I looked through my December Daily album to see if I have any stripes.  BINGO!  I was lucky to find this WONKY stripes... (I know the pp is ugly... I wanted to get rid of them and to use them.  I knew that I had the challenge to make my pages PRETTY!!!! wink!)  Another challenge was to "kill" the purple colour on the pp!  LOL  I think I did well to make the pages pretty!?!

my UGLY WONKY stripes!

a picture of my stuff that I planned to use for the online crop

I just love Braden's face on this picture when he got a gift card for ToyRus!  I just love his face!!!!  It says it all!
Traditionally, we  all open our gifts at home and when we go out for the Christmas dinner with the WHOLE family, the nieces and nephews get to open more presents at the host house from "aunts and uncles".  So the gift card that Braden got was from an aunt, (my sister).

Traditionally, we have the Christmas Dinner with the WHOLE FAMILY. (Mom and sisters/their families)  The second page is a picture of some family members at the table.  With our family, two or three tables are often needed and we eat all over the house! LOL  For this page, when I saw the picture, I just knew I MUST scrap about it since Brent my nephew is in it. (he is the one with the black top in the picture) I sure do miss him.  He passed away in February this year.  Any picture I have of him are PRECIOUS!  It will be our first Christmas without him this year!  May we all be given the strength for this upcoming Christmas!   We miss and love you, BRENT!

  10. Nice job using that less than inspiring striped paper, Laureen. Great work with the sketch and that dressitup tree adds the perfect sparkle to your page.
