LET'S CELEBRATE YOU card

Hello!

 

It was actually a SNOW DAY here for us yesterday, I decided to use this as excuse to avoid the house chores and decided to go downstairs to my scrapping area this afternoon.  My sweet mom turned 80 years old on Monday.  We are going to have a big celebration party this coming Saturday.  I know I wanted to make a SPECIAL card.  After seeing the new challenge up at the Two Scrapbook Friends for February, I see that they have decided to combine the two challenges, sketch and crafty together.  I need to do this sketch challenge and to use a die cut.  I immediately thought of using my new MFT Polka Dot Cover Up dienamic.  This will work GREAT as a die cut and it became my excuse to play with my new item for this challenge.  I placed a heart on my card to show my love for my mom.  This worked well for Simon Says Stamp!  I truly enjoyed working with Amanda's sketch and I hope to create a layout using it.

 

 

After making this card, I forced myself to go outside and shovelled the snow.  Oh boy, it sure SNOWED a lot today!  Braden helped me.  I was exhausted and sore afterwards!  The snow was dry and light but I had to raise high to discard the snow because of the high pile.

***While typing this post, I see that I did not colour the PI girl's piggy tails!  OOPS!   I will go and colour them after I am finished with this post.***
