SUPER HEROES (Olympic Challenge #4 and #11)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, for their online Olympic Game, Sharlene, (DT) threw in a challenge #11  that requires to create using five different techniques.  Sharlene also threw in another Olympic challenge #4.  It was to follow the colours of the Olympic symbol.

I found some pictures of my children that I have been avoiding, not sure of how to do the layout(s) with them! And when I saw them, I immediately came up with an idea and decided to do the pictures!  YAH!  I still need to find exact date of when the pictures were taken!  I will add the date when I have the luck of finding the right date.

5 Different Techniques

For my left page layout, I decided to do

1.  embossing (title)
2.  washi tape
3.  stitching
4.  fussy cutting (hexagons)
5. paint (splashing paint by tapping the paintbrush)

It was fun doing this challenge!  Thank you, Sharlene!

Here is my right page for this 2 Page layout matching all of the colours of the Olympic ring symbol. Again, thank you, Sharlene for this colourful challenge!

My two page layout looks  like this...

Thanks for stopping by!  Looking forward to next challenge!

SWIM TEAM COMPETITION and READY, SET & SWIM! (Olympic Challenge # 10 and #9

Here is my double page layout for Two Scrapbook Friends' Online Olympic Game Challenges.

Joanne threw in her challenge for us to do something about swimming....  I immediately thought of Braden did have a swim meet in London last April!  JUST a PERFECT opportunity to scrap about that event!!!  I did the LEFT page for her challenge #10.

Ann (DT) threw in her challenge for us to do something related to LONDON, England.    I have decided to use the timer clock that came with the kit.  Again, just perfect for her challenge #9.  I did the RIGHT page for her challenge.

I needed to cover the child's face and his name so no one can identify this child.

This is two page layout kit that I had purchased from the Two Scrapbook Friends store.  I believe I grabbed this from their booth at the Scrapfest!

Joanne and Jayne, thank you for your Olympic challenge.  2SF, thank you for this wonderful kit.  They worked well with the pictures that were taken!

Thank you for stopping by!

ALL TOGETHER NOW (Olympic Challenge # 2)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Ann (DT) threw in a challenge that our creation includes  Beattles' lyrics or song.  Of course, I freaked out (LOL)  I feel lucky to be able to find lots of information through the internet.  So here is mine,

I chose  "ALL TOGETHER NOW" and I have used this title with the rub on letters that I had for a long time!

Thank you, Ann for this challenge.

Thanks for visiting!

TODAY's BIG DAY (Olympic Challenge #7)

At the  Two Scrapbook Friends, Jayne (DT) threw in an Olympic challenge that we use patriotic country flag colour.

I have been working on catching up the pictures for Canada's Day events from the previous years.  I am doing pretty good and I am getting there!  Soon I will be all caught up with Canada's Day event layouts!  I am excited!

Anyway, here is my layout for this PATRIOTIC challenge.  It was at Lake Nippissing.  Sharlene's and my family were together for one week!  We rented the cottages there.  We had a wonderful time!

Obviously, I was playing with my camera taking pictures of the Canadian Flag at this cottage... It sure came handy now for this challenge.  I am glad that I did take the pictures of the flag!

FARM MARKET (Olympic Challenge # 6)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Amanda (DT) threw in her challenge that we have circles on our creations.  I have decided to do a layout about my DH's mom selling her vegetables at the farm market on one Saturday.  We visited her at the market.

I used CIRCLE (scalloped) for the vegetable stickers.  I punched several orange, green and blue CIRCLES.  I also hand stitched around the colourful CIRCLES.  The place, Renfrew were done with the CIRCLE alphabet letter stickers.  It was fun doing this CIRCLE challenge.  Thank you, Amanda!

Here is my page.

SHE AMAZES ME (Olympic Game Challenge #5 and Sketch Challenge)

I  CREATED this layout for two different challenges - (Two Scrapbook Friends and Stuck?!)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, there is an online Olympic game going on and the fans are cheering by doing their thrown in challenges!!!  I just cannot wait to check their forum to see what challenge is for each day!

Joanne, (the co-owner of the store) threw in a HIGHS and LOWS challenge!  Of course it was the CHEVRONS that she wanted to challenge us to do.

First I started by looking for a good sketch to do for my two pictures.  I only had two pictures of my mom in my photo box.  A good opportunity to scrap about my mom!  The pictures of her were taken at my cousin's wedding.

I decided to start working on this high and low challenge #5!!! CHEVRONS!!! I got help by looking at this how to make chevron blog video tutorial.   I had to contact Sharlene for this tutorial to help me learn how to make chevrons with the paper easily.  She gave me this link.  She got it from Sharon's blog.

A LONG WAIT (2 Crafty Challenges)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, there are crafty challenges on Mondays which I love to play!

I used a two page layout sketch from the Support Sketch.  (Two Page Layout #1)

The left page is for Amanda's Colour Palette Challenge.  It was interesting colours to play with.  I see that I do not have much of variety of grey paper.  I decided to mix some white gesso with a little of black paint and I came up with a beautiful shade of grey.

The right page is for Ann's Crafty Challenge, Make A Mess!!  It was fun.  It got me into my thinking cap and wondered how I can make a mess on my layout.  Of course paint and gesso will do the job!  I really had fun!   First I painted up some yellow spots on the white cardstocks for the background papers.  I used some stencils to put some gesso onto.  I had to wait for the paint and gesso to dry.  When they were ready, I started putting all of the pictures together and placed them.  Of course I added some embellishments, title, and some diecuts.  That was last night.   This morning when I looked at both pages, I came up with one more idea.  It was to use the white gesso and honeycomb stencil and decided to put some gesso on the PICTURES and some other areas!  They looked really MESSY!  I am satisfied now!

Here is my two pages together.

Thank you Amanda for this wonderful colour crafty challenge and thank you Ann for the MeSsY crafty challenge!  Thank you Allison Davis for the sketch.

Thanks for visiting!
