NO TRICKS... ONLY TREATS

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, there had been a fun challenge.  We were given a long list of candies that we all usually receive during the trick and treat walk on a Halloween night.

To play this challenge, I had to pick at least five things (goodies) from the long list.

I chose 6 yummy goodies!  Then they added the 'Scrappy Items' that correspond to each treat item.  I had to use the specific items on a layout for the candies that I chose.

Tootsie Rolls  =  6x6 patterned paper
Rockets  =  natural fibre
Swedish Berries =  word in different language
Mars  =  star
Smarties  =  use a book, pencil or a light bulb
Nerds  =  embossing

I took out my Halloween themed Iris storage case and went through the stash.  In the case, I found some Halloween papers/mini kits from Dollarama which I had received from the "Secret Witch" at work a couple years ago.  I never knew what to do with them.... but this time, I spotted a perfect item for this challenge, a BOOK!  Yes, a book!!!  Inside the book were several plain white pages.  After thinking for ideas, I came up with this idea that I'd scrap several more pictures inside the book.  Just a perfect plan for this challenge.  I was thrilled that I was able to use up some stuff in the Halloween stash!

For my Swedish berries, I had to use a different language.  After seeing Sharlene's Trick or Treat Menu challenge, I decided to BORROW her sign language fingerspelling alphabet stamps!  Thank you, Sharlene for letting me borrow them!

I was able to use all of the "yummy" goodies onto a layout.  I am pleased with how the left page layout came out.

To complete my usual double page layout, I have decided to go for Amanda (DT)'s #4 Sketch Challenge for my right page.  I made a small change from the sketch, I moved the banner to the left corner.

 Together my both pages look like this:

Thank you for this FUN Trick or Treat Menu challenge, Two Scrapbook Friends!
It was fun playing with your #4 sketch.  Thank you Amanda!

BOO

For my "BOO" double page layout, I decided to combine a sketch challenge and two crafty challenges.

The sketch was done by Laura Whitaker.  I found this awesome sketch at ScrapMuch? Thank you Laura!

I have decided to use the white and orange bread tags for the Frugual Embellishment challenge.  I have a small ziploc bag full of them.  Just perfect for this Halloween double page layout I wanted to do about Dalton being the ghost.  I have decided to turn the bread tags into GHOSTS and the orange tags into pumpkins!  Thank you Ann for this frugal challenge.  A great way to go  "GREEN".  Thank you Ann!

Knowing that I have many Halloween papers in my Halloween Iris case, I knew I have many OLD papers.  To my surprise that I am getting low with the papers which is good.  That means I get to shop for new Halloween papers probably next year!  Thank you Sharlene for giving me the opportunity to go through my Halloween stash and to use some old papers!  I had to run to the store to buy the "new" paper yesterday. (wink!)  Thank you Sharlene!

JUMP AND PLAY

Hello!!!!

Recently, I hosted an online crop with Denise and Sharlene.

I offered three challenges.

1. colour challenge

2. to use sepia or black and white photo(s)

3. to use Laura Whitaker's sketch from Scrap Much?

What a coincidence, I realized that my colour challenge was similar to Christa DT's crafty challenge, this below colours at Two Scrapbook Friends!

I just loved this crafty challenge from Jayne DT at Two Scrapbook Friends! She wanted us to LAYER UP!!!  I did a lot of layering!

I used Laura Whitaker's sketch for both of the pages.  For the left page, I flipped the sketch.

Some close ups of my LAYERS!

Thank you Christa for your colour challenge.

Thank you Laura for this wonderful sketch  I used it TWICE!  I am entering my double page to Scrap Much? Sketch-y Friday Challenge.

Thank you Jayne for this FUN "Layer It Up" crafty challenge!

Sharlene and Denise, thank you for playing with me online!  I sure do look forward to the next online crop!

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Amanda (DT) designed and offered her sketch.  I really enjoyed this sketch as it was very simple.  I was searching for a good photo.  There I found this only one picture from the event, Chris had took the boys there (Bass Pro Shops).  Of course the boys wanted to see the Santa Claus.  So here it is!

GORGEOUS FAMILY (Sketch Challenges)

At the Two Scrapbook Friends, Christa and Ann (DT's) had sketch challenges.  Of course I just had to play... I have decided to challenge myself only to use the 8x8 paper pad from Cosmo Cricket, "Get Happy Collection" except for the navy blue cardstock for the background. The colours in this paper collection just worked perfectly with our T-shirts in the picture.  I have had that paper pad for a long time now.  On the both pages, I got to play, experiment and try several sewing techniques.... I was pleased with the outcome of this challenge...

Thank you Christa and Ann!

LOVIN' LIFE (Crafty Challenge)

AT the Two Scrapbook Friends, Amanda (DT) offered another crafty challenge, to use hexagons.

Here is my double page layout.  I am pleased with it even though I had to cut out the hexagons by hands as I did not have any tools to cut the hexagons out.  I am thankful for a hexagon template!

It was me taking picture, from the bridge, of Braden floating away in the Credit River on Canada's Day, 2011.
