Yay! A double page layout completed! I am a HAPPY scrapper! On Sunday, I was thrilled to have an online cropper with Sharlene! I have not been scrapping for a while! It was good to be able to hit my scrapping table again!
Based on the challenge from CSI Case File #79, when I saw the colours, I decided to hit the pictures from our Washington DC trip in May 2011. I knew I have purchased several "AMERICAN" themed papers when I was down at the Archivers store with Sharlene. It was GOOD to be able to do the Washington DC trip pictures... I have MANY more pictures so this is just a beginning of several more pages to come!
Colours: I used all.
Evidence: pom pom trim, flourish, metal, sripes, polka dots, ribbons
Testimony: 4 Reasons and add pom pom trim to the spot (journal)
I used Laura Whitaker's sketch at ScrapMuch?. I am sure you can see that I followed the layout design but did not follow the picture size. I decided to go for 2x3 picture size as I have many and I wanted to include them so I had to make some modification to the layout so I tried my best following Laura's sketch as much as I can. I also substituted one picture square for a journal. My title obviously is much longer!
To Use a Negative in Paper was Two Scrapbook Friends' July Crafty Challenge, I have created two of them. One for each page. Here are the close ups.
Sharlene's individual thrown challenge was to have a title diecut. I was fortunate to find the word "SUBWAY" from the Cricut "Going Places". I decided to go for negative cut with her challenge.
I used the Cricut "Base Camp" to cut "Washington DC" and was pleased with how it looked. I would place it at a different place but since I wanted to follow Laura's sketch as much as I can so I decided to place it in the middle as shown in her sketch. A long title, I know!
