Hello!
I started this layout on Wednesday I think.... but I worked on it more on Thursday. The first challenge was to cut the title as the negative cut on the background cardstock. I did that first. I cut the WHITE HOUSE. I had to practise first to decide the location of the start point for the blade for my Cricut machine. When I was finished, I was HAPPY.... but then I realized that I forgot the word THE!!!! SIGH!!!! So I decided to go for the cut out letters and pasted them onto the layout! Yeah I cheated here but only for the "THE" word.... For Jayne's sketch #17, I struggled a bit with it as I started off with no patterned paper. But on Friday when I saw the new challenge for CSI case file #81, I loved the colours so I decided to go for the Authentique Seasons: Summer patterned papers! YAH! It solved my struggle! This morning, I worked on my layout happily!
For CSI Case File #81, for the colours, I used all of the colours. For the evidence, I used silver metal (buttons), twine, circles (there are lots as you can see I am sure!), textured paper, and scalloped edges. For the testimony, for the IW, I used the word "house" just a perfect timing....what a coincidence, a layout about our visit to The White House!! (No journal otherwise....)
